Sarah Kushner's Baby Signs
 
By 14 months, Sarah understood all the following American Sign Language signs, and we'd recognized her producing the signs with asterisks (*).

Bicycle * : (Sarah loves to ride on the back of our bike. Sometimes she signs "Bike" to mean "go outside" but we clarify if we are going in the car or walking)

Mother ("Mama") . We use a variant for "Mommy" where the open "5" hand touches the cheek instead of the chin.

She also made up her own sign for "Swings/Playground", paddling both her forward-facing palms alternately over her head. We showed her the official sign (swinging index fingers) but she apparently thought it wasn't dramatic enough for something so exciting and important.
