Youth Hostel
  • Olympic Hostel at Fort Worden is your cheapest option. In Fort Worden State Park, about a mile up the beach -- a beautiful and popular location so book early.

Hotels

  • Point Hudson Resort: We have held the entire motel for our guests; as of today, two rooms are still available. If you call to make a reservation please identify yourself as one of our party. The motel is a converted Coast Guard bunker, plain but pleasant, the least expensive motel in Port Townsend, and right on the beach. We ourselves will be staying here. Phone (800) 826-3854.
  • The Commander's Guest House, a modern B&B, is right next to the Point Hudson Resort, and also on the beach. Phone (360) 385-1778.
  • Swan Hotel has cute tiny cabins with microwaves and fridges. Only a block from the Pt. Hudson.
  • The Port Townsend Inn is a very nice modern hotel with an indoor heated pool and spa that comes highly recommended by our friend Erica. About a mile away.

Victorian Bed & Breakfasts

Port Townsend is justly famous for its many beautiful Victorian houses. Consider giving yourself a treat.

  • Holly Hill House We have rooms held here too; if you call please identify yourself as one of our party. Very charming, remarkably reasonably priced, just a few blocks up the hill, and the three-course breakfast looks delicious. too.
  • Ann Starrett Mansion A veritable Victoriana museum. Also just up the hill.
  • Old Consulate Inn Up the hill and a bit of a further walk.
  • James House Our favourite Victorian: elegant yet inviting, gracious yet comfortable.

Away from it all

  • The Bay Cottage is a sweet (but not too sweet) romantic cottage, like your grandma might've had, right on Discovery Bay, about 10 minutes drive from Port Townsend.
  • The Ecologic Place at Marrowstone Island Marrowstone Island twenty minutes' drive from Port Townsend. We haven't been here yet but a friend recommends it highly. Inexpensive rustic cabins. On the beach, with plenty of birds and wildlife.
  • More Private Getaways near Port Townsend.
